El texto es una reedición de tres trabajos de índole histórica publicados en la revista Registro, editada por Alfredo Roffé en 1962, que aún mantienen su vigencia e interés. Los títulos de esos trabajos son explicativos por sí mismos: 1. ”El Cine en Venezuela en 1906, a través de las publicaciones de la época”; 2. “El mercado del cine en Venezuela, visto por el departamento de Comercio de los Estados Unidos. 1936-1938” y 3. “Estadísticas de la asistencia del público al cine en el período 1950-1960, en las ciudades de Venezuela con más de 5.000 habitantes”.
